Mike is the Innovation Broker for the Digital Dairy Chain in SW Scotland and Cumbria, building collaborations to develop new innovations in the Dairy Sector. He brings his knowledge of using funding to build collaborations and drive change in the agricultural sector. He is passionate about seeing science and evidence-based practices applied in the real world.

Mike was a partner in a large dairy veterinary practice and has worked for DEFRA’s Veterinary Laboratory Agency as Commercial Manager, as well as veterinary director for a startup rapid diagnostics company. He was a Ruminant Technical Consultant for Elanco, launching Kextone, an innovative new rumen modifier. He worked with the European Technical Team to prepare the market for Imrestor.

He was also Project Manager for SEBI at the University of Edinburgh, managing the SEBI technology transfer projects.
